The Inaugral Saltwater Festival will be held on the 8th and 9th of May, 2010. We are very excited about the upcoming event and bringing people together through sport, music, family, friends and food. Combining amazing marathon competitions that scour the beautiful Tweed Coast, with great music right on the foreshore of Salt Village, this event is one to remember. If you prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, there will be plenty to keep you entertained. There will be stalls, kids activities, touch football, beach volleyball and free music to name a few. So bring the whole family for a fantastic weekend of fun.
The Saltwater Festival was conceived by Trevor Hendy, Davina Drinan & Glen Thompson and a few of their Saltwater loving friends. It has been created to bring people together from all over the world to celebrate their love of the saltwater and the outdoors. Each event includes a 2-3 day action packed program that features World class Ocean sport, Beach & Field sports, Beautiful Music and Sensational Local Food, and is held in some of the most wonderful locations around the world.
